Success

Turner was going up and down the slide over and over having so much fun.
I decide to grab the camera and of course it didn't happen.
I tried over and over and FINALLY - 30 minutes later he did it and I got it on film!

What a stud!

Congratulations, Jay & Erin!!!

The purpose of our road trip to Steamboat Springs was to celebrate the wedding of Jay Vontz and Erin Hunt. Jay is a long-time friend of Todd's from the good ol' Adams Central days. We have kept in fairly good contact with him over the years and have been praying for Erin since we got married 7.5 years ago (not by name- since we didn't know her yet, but for a wife for Jay - he deserves the best and he found her!) It was so fun to be a part of their special day and we are so excited they are going to be living in Nebraska (they've both been living in California where Erin is from and Jay was working) so we can get to know Erin better!

Congrats to the happy couple, it was a beautiful day!!
xoxo,

Stay Tuned

What happens when we leave TW with Mamie & Papa, drop Carter off with Nana & Papa in Hastings and hit the open road for Jay & Erin's wedding in Steamboat Springs?!?!

It was definitely full of adventures... but you'll have to wait, I don't have time to blog now!!

Take me out to the ballgame!

Friday night we took the boys to their first baseball game, the Lincoln Saltdogs vs. the Sioux Falls Canaries (nice mascot, huh??). We did our best to contain them in the seats - which lasted the first 2 innings. Thankfully it's a nice small stadium, so we could walk around and still take in the sites and sounds of the game without missing much.

Jungle Gym overlooking the stadim.
Checking it out!
Carter taking in the game!
TW did not like that call!!

Cotton candy - yum!!
Until next time,

Cousin Camp Idaho

My dad has 4 sisters. Each of whom lives in a different state (one is here in Nebraska, but on the complete opposite side of the state in Chadron). This makes family gatherings hard to come by. For as long as I can remember we all only gather once every FIVE years for a family reunion, better known as cousin camp. This year was our year to meet up and that we did last week in Donnelly, ID.

One could really wonder if family reunion time in Idaho could really be that great - but believe me (and I think all my boys would agree), it was wonderful! We had so much fun catching up with the aunts & uncles, cousins and especially getting to meet the new little cousins!! We also came to the realization that Idaho is a beautiful place, with many amazing mountains and lakes (AND A MILLION MOSQUITOS!!).

We had way too many pics to share, so here are TWO slideshows!!!

Enjoy!!

ps Hopefully I'll find time over the next few weeks to share more of the specifics of our journey!!
