High FIVE!!

It's true.  I am now the proud momma of a five year old!!  Not sure how it happened.  Wasn't it just yesterday we brought him home from the hospital??  Now, we can't imagine life without our precious Carter.


From the time we learned Carter was on the way, God laid it on our hearts to pray for a boy, for the oldest of our children to be a strong leader, to be a boy who loved God and desired to serve God.   Over the past few weeks Todd & I have reflected on these frequent prayers we had over the womb and realized how indeed they have begun to come true.


We couldn't ask for a better big brother for Turner or for Miss Greichaly.  At the mere age of 5, Carter is so very responsible, so very aware, so very caring, and so very eager to please.  He is beginning to soften toward the truth of God and His Word and we are anxious to see this deepen over the coming year and years ahead.  And we are excited to see him impact his younger siblings and the world around him for the greater Glory!!

At 5, this kid LOVES to draw, create & imagine.  Currently (well for the past SIX months) the object of his creative thinking revolves around the "clubhouse" that he & Papa are going to build this summer in Papa's workshop.  An idea that only had to be mentioned once, somewhat in jest by Papa for Carter to grab hold of, involve his entire preschool class in and talk about all day EVERYDAY!!  Not sure how this is going to end, but it's pretty cute to watch him draw pictures of it, cut out supplies from the Lowe's & Home Depot Ads to buy for it and tell everyone about.  


At 5, he hopes someday to be a fireman, or maybe a construction worker or landscaper... though recently we have told him architecture might be his thing!!  He loves his preschool class and going to school three afternoons a week and seems mighty excited about Kindergarten starting in the fall!  


Carter, you are a true gift from God.
We love you so much and cannot wait to see the man you will become.
