Can Wii play??!

Although we don’t play it very often, it has been so much fun lately that the boys can play along on the Wii – they especially like the games using the Wii Fit board…….

And sometimes… they beat us at stuff… boo!

Pillow Talk

Tonight as the boys were going to bed....

Turner: I'm 2!!

Carter: (while sucking his thumb) uh-huh

Turner: Is mommy 7?

Carter: yep, mommy's 7!!

Then they proceeded to argue about whose birthday came first and when Mamie's birthday is!!!

Having them share a room is the best!! If you are even considering it with your kids - you HAVE to do it!! Especially, while they're young and can't argue!!!

Nighty-night!

Thoughts on Motherhood

On March 5th, our friends Jon & Kari welcomed this sweet baby girl into their family. Her mama wrote a little bit about motherhood on facebook this week and I just had to share it with all of you (with her permission of course) and I couldn't resist adding a couple of pictures of their family as well!

Thank you Kari, for such a precious reminder of the blessings of motherhood!!
Aubrey Grace

I used to have clean floors, but not the sound of little feet that bring in the dirt from adventures outside.

I used to have clean windows, but no little hands to hold when crossing the street or leave tiny prints on the glass.

I used to have a clean table with no scratches or sticky goo, but no little mouths to feed or enjoy a lunchtime conversation with about trains, JESUS, or what Curious George's sand castle look like.

I used to get lots of sleep, but had no one to calm in the middle of the night when illness comes and no baby to snuggle tightly and breathe in her soft skin as she has a midnight snack.

I used to have great hair, nails, clothes and makeup everyday, but no little arms around my neck with a voice that says "I love you too" or asks me to hold them no matter what I look like or smell like (shower or no shower) that day.

I used to always have patience but no one to need my help with the smallest tasks that teach MY heart what it is to be the servant of all as Christ was for us and show unconditional love at all times.

I used to have quiet whenever I wanted, but no little voices singing "the B-I-B-L-E", "Amazing Grace", or calling my name.

I used to know the latest news or wordly gossip, but no one to tell me what they drew a picture of, what is hurting, or ask me to read them a book or tell me what bird they have just seen outside.

A MAMA - That's what I am now and will always be. That is much better than what I used to be.

News Flash!!!

For those of you who haven't heard....

And regarding this we are feeling very excited, scared, honored, delighted, blessed, nervous, fill-in-the-blank, but most of all DEPENDENT on the One who holds us in His hands... who has brought us to this place {praise HIM!} and who will guide us in the days ahead.

"Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen." Jude 24-25

Our prayer is that Ridge Pointe Dental {and all we do for that matter} would be for His Glory!!!

The perfect fit...

We almost lost these stellar sunglasses yesterday at the park.
I would have been so sad (though Children's Place probably has another pair!)... because they seem to truly express the personality of certain 2 year old quite well.

I'm so glad I decided to run back one more time to look and Kari agreed to keep an eye on the boys already loaded in the van!

And to think I almost made him get the plain black ones...
I love my Teba!!

Go, Daddy, Go!!

This past Sunday the boys and I (along with sweet cousin, Addison!) set out early (like 7 am early!) to cheer along our favorite half-marathoners – Daddy & Brett!!

They were both looking exceptionally good and light on their feet at mile 5 while we the fans watched them pass. Dad was stationed there with the first aid team in case any of the runners needed medical assistance - thankfully he wasn't needed :)

We saw them again around mile 7 and then headed down to Memorial Stadium for a thrilling finish. Below is a picture of the finish – though not specific to these two runners (because we seemed to miss that! they were too fast!).

It was a big accomplishment for both – Todd’s 4th half marathon and Brett’s very 1st!! They were able to run together step for step the entire race, which was an amazing feat in and of itself!!

Way to go Daddy!! Way to go Brett!!!

Sort of makes me want to do another one :) Maybe next year!!!
