Two for Turner!!

Dear Sweet Turner,

Two years ago you entered our lives with the chubbiest of cheeks and the sweetest of smiles. As a baby you were very alert and like your older brother rarely thought napping was necessary. You quickly learned to move and have been on the go ever since. Eating has always been one of your passions, yet you continue to be a bit selective in your indulgences. Mamie's cookies are by far your favorite treat. Potty training is just around the corner and I think they are just the trick to motivate you-- those and the 20-pack of hot wheels Nana Pat gave you for Christmas that I have secretly stashed in my closet!

Over the past year you've become quite the talker. We are continually amazed at the words that come out of your mouth and how well you are able to pronounce them. Most recently you've taken a liking to singing and do very well at "Jesus Loves Me" and basically try to imitate any song you hear on the radio. My favorite has to be "God you Reign" - what a joy it is to hear you worshiping our Lord!! I think it's your singing voice that has all the nursery workers crazy about you. I am thankful you are enjoying your time with them more these days too!!

You are most commonly referred to as "Teba" by family and friends. This came from Carter trying to say "TW" back when you were quite small and well, it has stuck. Usually this is what you say when asked your name however one time last week you introduced yourself as "Teba the Tiger" so I guess you have a few nicknames!

You adore your big brother and always want to do exactly what he is doing. Not surprisingly you are often an annoyance to him, mostly because you like nothing better than to tackle him flat to the ground (with amazing form I might add). Thankfully the two of you are learning it is fun to play together and can often be found scheming in closets, dark rooms, and well, anywhere but the playroom.

Other than Carter, your closest friend is a light blue hammer, named "Pat". A few months back I finally gave in and let you sleep with him, most nights he is safely clutched in one hand or the other all through the night. Daddy and I laugh at hearing random phrases such as "Let's work together" or "Let's give it a good whack" (no joke, just heard that one!) throughout the night. You are also quite fond of Thomas the Train and really anything that has wheels including combines, excavators, motorcycles and firetrucks.

Although you are a fiesty little guy, who I am guessing with take the word "trouble" to new heights in this house, you are on the other hand the cuddliest little guy ever!! You are quick to hand out hugs and have no problem snuggling with your Momma or Daddy for extended periods of time!! My favorite time of the day is right after you wake up from your nap, all you want to do is have me hold you and snuggle into me while you come back to life!! Please say you'll do this forever!?! And please do not ever lose those cheeks!!!

Oh sweet Teba, you are quite the little guy and I am anxious to see all you become in the year ahead. For now you are two and we couldn't be more excited for you. Our constant prayer is that you would learn to love the Lord your God with all your heart and seek Him first.
